Kathryne Garvey: The funeral of Kathryne Garvey, the four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Garvey of 8 Evergreen St. was held Friday afternoon at the home of her parents at 2:30 o'clock. The funeral was attended by the friends of the family and relatives and was an especially sad occasion. The little girl was the pride and joy of her parents' hearts and only they can realize what her loss will mean to them. The pallbearers were William Gorely, George Burns, Thomas Noonan, and Philip Breen, all friends of the little girl. The
funeral of Patrick
Garvey, one of the best known residents of the North End, was held
from his home, No. 538 Grand Street at 8:30 o'clock this morning and from St.
Patrick's church at 9. Rev. Father Picker conducted the service at the
church. Interment was in St. Michael's cemetery, Rev. Father Nihill
conducting the service at the grave. At the church the choir sang "Ave
Maria" and "Heaven is His Home." The floral tributes were many
and beautiful. The pallbearers were Patrick McGrath, Michael Murphy, Patrick
Quigley, John Redmond, Peter Noonan, and Patrick Curran. |

The
funeral of John T.
Garvey, who died suddenly at his home, 6 Carson Street, was held
this morning from his residence and from St. Patrick's church where a high
mass of requiem was celebrated by Rev. John C. Lynch. As the body was brought
into the church, the choir sang 'Thy Will be Done,' 'Ave Marie' was sung at
the offertory and after mass the choir sang 'Heaven is His Home.' As the body
was taken from the church 'Nearer God to Thee' was played on the chimes. A
delegation from the brick masons' union attended. The pallbearers were:
William Dolan, John McMullen, Harry Breen, Joseph Bike, Edward Murray and
Frank Sterbinsky. Burial was in St. Michael's cemetery. |

John T. Garvey, 20 son of Margaret Bowes and the late John Garvey, died Sunday night following a two years illness. He is survived by his mother, two sisters, Margaret and Mary and two brothers Clifford and Harold. The funeral will be held from his late home, 6 Carson street, Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock, and from St. Patrick's church at 9:00. Interment will be in St. Michael's cemetery. funeral of John T. Garvey, 20,
son of Margaret Bowes and the late John Garvey, an athlete, and very popular
among his friends, who died at his home, 6 Carson Street, Sunday night, after
several month's illness, will be held from his late residence Wednesday
morning at 8:30 o'clock, and from St. Patrick's church at nine o'clock. He is
survived by his mother; two sisters, Mary and Catherine; and two brothers,
Harold and Clifford. Interment will be in St. Michael's cemetery. |

Garvey:
Services for Clifford Garvey, of 946 Iranistan Avenue, a delivery salesman
for the Schaeffer Brewing company, who died yesterday in St. Vincent's
hospital, will take place tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in the M.J. Gannon funeral
home, 515 Washington Ave, and at 10 o'clock in St. Joseph's church.
Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery. Mr. Garvey is survived by a brother,
Harold; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Binder, of Hamden, and Mrs. Robert Wilson;
an uncle, John Bowes, of this city; an aunt, Mrs. Catherine Currey of
Norwalk; three nieces and three nephews. |
